Create Your Circle of Trust
It all starts with your friends. You send a friend request, and only after the other person accepts, you become connected in the app. No one outside your circle can interact with you.
Share When You Want
On your profile screen, you have a simple switch to enable or disable your location sharing. Turned it off? You instantly become invisible on the map to everyone.
Get Alerts and Explore
With location active, our system checks if any friend has entered your proximity radius. If that happens, we send a friendly alert. It's an invitation for a "hello", not tracking.
Your Privacy First
We built Friends Nearby on the following security pillars:
Total Control
Your location is only shared if you explicitly allow it. At any time, you can become "invisible".
Friends Only
Only people you have accepted can potentially see your location. There are no public profiles.
No History
We do not store a history of where you've been. The information is real-time and only serves the moment.
Automatic Shutdown
When you close the app, your status changes to "offline".
For Business Accounts (POIs)
Want to promote your event, establishment, or a special promotion? By changing your profile to a "Business" account, you can create Points of Interest (POIs) on the map.
Review Process: To ensure everyone's safety, every submitted POI goes through a manual review by our team before being approved and becoming visible on the map.
