- Generated Content: We collect the information you provide when creating Points of Interest (POIs), including text, images, and contact details, as well as messages exchanged in the chat.
b) Information Collected Automatically:
- Location Data: The core of our service. We collect your precise geographic location (GPS) only when the app is in use and you have enabled location sharing. You can disable this at any time.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, such as features accessed and time spent, to help us improve the experience.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To Provide the Service: To display your location and that of your friends on the map, send proximity alerts, and allow communication via chat and groups.
- To Personalize Your Experience: To adjust your profile and manage your friend connections.
- For Security Purposes: To verify accounts, moderate POI content (including automatic image analysis) to ensure a safe environment and protect against fraud or abuse.
- To Process Payments: We use an external payment provider (Stripe) to process Premium feature purchases. We do not store your credit card data.
4. Who We Share Your Information With
We DO NOT sell your personal information to third parties.
- With Other Users: Your location and profile picture are shared on the map only with users you have accepted as friends and only when your sharing is active.
- With Service Providers: We share information with third-party companies that help us operate, such as cloud providers (Google Firebase) and payment processors (Stripe), who are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Friends Nearby and our users.

- Location Control: You can enable or disable location sharing at any time in your profile.
